What does Ecorivestimento mean?
Ecorivestimento is a registered trademark that distinguishes a range of "eco-active" products, which surpass the concepts of ecological and eco-compatible, by providing an active contribution to reducing environmental pollution.
The term "Ecorivestimento" is used to identify cement-based products, i.e. plasters and road applications from the "Ecopitture" that we will deal with below.
How does the product work?
The product works thanks to a process known as "photocatalysis" which is very similar to chlorophyll photosynthesis in plants, which is activated by a small amount of light (0.2 W/M2 of UVA rays) and oxygen, in contact with the treated surfaces.
What are the polluting substances transformed into?
The polluting substances are transformed into irrelevant quantities of harmless residue. The residues are mainly calcium carbonate, nitrates and mineral salts.
What % reduction is achieved?
The percentages of reductions found after application are notable and are about 50% on both road and interiors.
In which places/environments can the product be applied?
Wherever paint, plaster or cement-based paving can be applied.
What does Ecopittura mean?
Ecopittura is the name of a family of ready-to-use, eco-active, photocatalytic, water-based paints for interior and external application. The products can be applied by anyone, like traditional paints, using rollers, brushes or sprays.
What colours are available?
There are 30 different basic colours available that cover almost the entire colour range.
How long does it last?
For an extremely long period. Under normal conditions, it last for at least 10 years.
Do Ecopitture paints cost more than common paints?
No. As our company saves on production and marketing costs, the cost of our paints is in line with current prices for high quality paints.
Do the products work even if they are applied in areas with little light?
As we have already stated, a small amount of light is needed and if it is artificial, generated by common light bulbs. They do not function with neon light bulbs.
